RXF reinforces itself with an eye on 2022

RXF has made two new hires, Maria Damas Costa and João Amorim, to strengthen project management and internal organization at the company.

The explanation was given by the company's CEO, Pedro Miguel Ramos (center in the image). "We believe that next year will be decisive for our positioning, and we want to be better prepared to do so."

Maria Damas Costa joins the project management and new business department, coming from VOQIN', while João Amorim, after 18 years at Europalco and four at Pixel Light, focuses on logistics and human resources operations.

Pedro Miguel Ramos explains that the integration process of these two new members went smoothly. "João and Maria were introduced at our general meeting, worked closely with the teams on the ground, and are still being monitored today. In Maria's case, the process was simpler since she was our client, had been working with us for several years, and knew our dynamics up close. As for João, it's starting from scratch since we didn't have anyone in his position until now."

The expectations regarding their contribution are clear. "We want to continue to grow," clarifies the RXF's CEO. "João brings over 20 years of experience in the industry. He is someone who works with and for the teams but also seeks to grow with us. I have no doubt that he will make us improve from the inside out. Maria, on the other hand, with the know-how she brings in terms of the client's vision, will certainly make a difference from the outside in with all the professionalism she is recognized for."

Pedro Miguel Ramos adds that the hirings at RXF will not stop there, "not only for the audiovisual area but also for information technology. In addition, creating two new departments is part of our plans for 2022."

In first person

Expectations, aspirations, challenges, memories. João Amorim and Maria Damas Costa introduce themselves.

João Amorim

- Pedro Miguel Ramos presented me with a well-structured project, with the concern of involving the human resources working in the Group in this project. This is with the aim of improving the effective recognition of people, for their technical and relational training, commitment, and responsibility.

 - With my experience, I hope to contribute to a better organization, human resources level, and improve the operationalization of all the company's work, both internally and externally. In this way, I believe that it is possible to reduce wear and tear and losses in terms of material and human resources. This activity is extremely demanding in terms of responsiveness, flexibility, adaptability to unforeseen situations, and can only be effectively responded to with committed, involved human resources who feel passion for what they do. Therefore, there must be special attention given to people, without a doubt the main resource for the success of any company.

 - Organizations are places of socialization and acculturation of the people who integrate them. In those where there is a well-defined project, norms, values, rights, and duties are better understood and learned. This contributes to a better development of the technical and relational competences of its human resources. This is what I hope to gather from my professional journey at RXF: to be a better professional and person.

 - Adaptation has been very quick. I was very well received by everyone. It is noticeable that the RXF Group has a cultural organization rooted in sharing, recognition, concern for having motivated people, and thus enhancing the ability to present a quality service in the market it operates.

 - I would like to leave a strong organizational capacity in RXF, in order to optimize the company's resources. The importance given to people, as a fundamental element for the image and success of the company, and that it is possible to walk side by side with professional success and the life project of each person who integrates this project.

7 quick response questions:

Hobby? Reading, writing, and listening to music.

Football Club? FC do Porto.

Favorite dish? Grilled fish.

Most used social media platform? Facebook, for distraction.

Unforgettable event? Expo 98 and Rock in Rio. Expo 98 for its grandiosity and the amount of resources involved. Rock in Rio because of the enriching professional experience.

Funniest moment experienced during an event? I remember at a Rock in Rio event, backstage at the main stage, a colleague approached me with Ivete Sangalo and asked me to take a photo with his phone. I took about three photos and he was really happy to have them, but that happiness didn't last long because in the photos Ivete appeared alone... he could hardly be seen because it was night, the camera didn't have a flash and he has a very dark complexion (a perfect storm). A few years later, at another edition of Rock in Rio, he was able to take a photo with Ivete Sangalo.

What gives you the most adrenaline when you're working? Knowing that I contributed to the success of the teams I work with and therefore to the success of the company at the end of each day.

Maria Damas Costa

- It was precisely "the challenge". The challenge of being on the other side, of learning and growing professionally in an area that has always excited me, bringing a broader perspective to the world of corporate events. RXF was a company that I increasingly identified with over time as we worked together. With the pandemic, this union was even more solidified. We worked more closely on many virtual projects and grew together. All of this gave me even more desire to explore this area, and when this opportunity arose, I didn't think twice.

- I hope to bring a different but complementary vision. Coming from the agency side allows me to bring some of that know-how and a more comprehensive vision of the event's construction, its entirety, which allows me to bring the experience of global planning, strategy, and project management to more specific areas such as audiovisuals, hoping to contribute to the growth of the Group in its different areas of activity.

- Learning, consolidating knowledge, new ways of working, but above all, I hope to evolve, both individually and professionally, growing and contributing to the growth of this project that is the RXF Group.

- RXF was already part of my daily life. I couldn't feel more at home. The team is incredible, and if I didn't have any doubts about that before, today I only reinforce those certainties. The adaptation to processes and organization always takes a little longer, but everything becomes easier when we are already part of the family.

- I would like to leave a good legacy and, above all, contribute in the best way possible to the growth of the RXF Group.
